Stephen Toward

After several years of formal chef training, I spent 6 years travelling Europe working in some of the finest hotels and restaurants in Germany ,Italy Switzerland and France all having been awarded at least 1 *Michelin. Most of the establishments I worked in were Relais and Châteaux restaurants, internationally renowned for their cuisine and some of the world’s best chefs.

With this experience under my belt I returned to England in 1993, and quickly found a job with a respected British chef by the name of Simon Radely, the executive head chef of the Chester Grosvenor House Hotel which holds 1 * Michelin. I worked along side him for a few years before taking on the role of head chef at Burgh Island Hotel, Devon and then Langshott manor in Horley, Surrey where I achieved 2 AA rosettes and 4 RAC dining awards.

My passion for seasonal, fresh and local produce, has inspired me to develop Stoves Dining, and my expertise and knowledge can work with you to create an ultimate and individual dining experience for you and your guests.

Just sit back, relax and enjoy your company, while I take the stress out of the cooking. After all, it’s your party to enjoy!


Add a dash of lemon juice whilst cooking mushrooms, this will keep them looking white!
